What you'll need

  • An owner or admin role in your RareMachine workspace.
  • The public https address of your Frappe site.
  • A Frappe System Manager to approve the link. Administrator always qualifies.

Connect your site

  1. Open Connections

In the sidebar, choose Connections. A workspace with no CRM shows Choose your CRM.

  2. Choose Connect Frappe

On the Frappe card, choose Connect Frappe. The Connect Frappe CRM page opens.

  3. Link your site

Under Step 1 — Link your Frappe site, enter your Frappe site URL and choose Connect Frappe site. The address must start with https.

  4. Approve in Frappe

Frappe opens. Sign in to Frappe Desk as a System Manager, in the same browser, and approve the link.

  5. Connect your own account

Back on RareMachine, under Step 2 — Connect your Frappe account, choose Connect my Frappe account and choose Allow in Frappe. Use the same email as your RareMachine account.

Result: Connections shows the Frappe panel with Connected and your site under the name.

If it does not connect

  • RareMachine rejected your site's URL. It must be a public https address — private, loopback and internal addresses are refused on purpose. Use your site's public https address. If the site is served over https but reports itself as http, set its public URL on the Frappe side with bench --site your-site set-config host_name https://your-site.
  • Frappe rejected the link because the browser tab that approved it wasn't signed into Frappe Desk as a System Manager (Administrator always qualifies). Sign in to your Frappe site as a System Manager in the same browser, then link again.
  • Email mismatch. Frappe signed you in as a different email than your RareMachine account. Sign out of Frappe Desk, sign in as your RareMachine email, then choose Connect your account again and choose Allow.

Frequently asked questions

Why are there two steps for Frappe?

Step 1 links the site to your workspace and needs a Frappe System Manager. Step 2 connects your own Frappe account, so Frappe applies your roles and record permissions. Linking the site does not connect your account.

A teammate's site is already linked. How do I join it?

On the Connect Frappe CRM page, enter the site URL and choose Verify with Frappe to join their team. You sign in to Frappe to prove who you are.

Can I move to a different Frappe site?

Yes. Tick Replace on the Connect Frappe CRM page and link the new site. This disconnects every teammate's personal Frappe login for the old site.
