# Create your card

Add your name, photo and contact details to your digital business card, then save it.

## What you'll need

- Team cards turned on by an admin. Until they are, the **Cards** page shows **No cards yet**.

## Build your card

  1. **Open Cards**
   In the sidebar, choose **Cards**. Your card is the tile on the page.

  2. **Choose Edit**
   Under your card, choose **Edit**. The **My card** editor opens beside a live preview.

  3. **Add your name and title**
   Under **You**, choose the chip for your name, type it in the box that opens and choose **Apply**. Do the same for your job title, company and headline if you want them on the card. Your card needs a name before you can save it.

       **Note:** If your admin set the company name, the company chip shows a lock and you cannot change it.

  4. **Add a photo**
   Under **Photo**, choose **Upload photo** and pick an image from your device. RareMachine prepares it for you. Later the button reads **Replace photo**.

  5. **Add how people reach you**
   Under **How people reach you**, choose a tile such as **Email** or **Phone**, enter the detail and choose **Apply**. Add an optional **Label**, such as Work or Mobile.

  6. **Save your card**
   Choose **Save my card**. A card that is still a draft shows **Publish my card** on this button instead.

       **Tip:** Your card is created for you and is already live with only your name on it, so saving adds your details to a link people can already open.

Result: the text under the button reads "Your card is live at" followed by your card's link, and the preview shows your card as visitors see it.

## Frequently asked questions

### Why does Cards say No cards yet?

Team cards are off for your workspace. An admin turns them on from the Team cards panel on the Cards page.

### Why can't I edit my company name, layout or colour?

Your team sets these for everyone. They appear under Set by your team in the editor, and an admin changes them.

### Which contact details can I add?

Email, Phone, WhatsApp, Link and LinkedIn. A type that has reached its limit is dimmed, and the editor tells you which one.
